Suspense in air as brothers face off

Suspense in air as brothers face off

The ‘Do not Disturb’ sign will be hanging at the Southwell home in Wellington tomorrow night. According to Katherine Southwell, it will be takeaway for tea and no interruptions.

It seems that Katherine’s two nephews will be joining a special club with brothers John and David Williams both wearing the number five jersey and pitted against each other as wingers in Round 10 of the NRL.

Both boys came up through the ranks playing for Parramatta. Older brother John had a successful stint with the Roosters last year and accepted a three year contract with the Cowboys.

Brother David joined Manly this year and made his debut appearance last weekend in the team’s 30-12 win over the Brisbane Broncos in Brisbane.

Under circumstances like this, family tipping competitions take on a whole new dimension.

Katherine was at the boys’ parents’ home in Sydney this week and at time of going to press could not glean any clear indications from sister Pauline and husband Michael on which way to lean.
