Wellington outclassed Dubbo Rhinos 11-0
Wellington made a great start to the day with Jordan Berryman scoring two tries in the first five minutes.
The next kick off saw Wellington stealing the ball back and Brad McCarroll made it count, crossing the line with a dash of speed without a finger touching him.
Sam McCarroll made a great break up the centre and Darcy Tierney did well backing him up, getting the ball only to be tackled just short of the line. Kyle Forgione made an excellent bust out wide but was denied the try.
The second half saw our boys lift another level. Jordan Berryman scored two tries and Jack Baker also put points on the board and all in less than ten minutes.
Harry Broome made some impressive metres with Will Smith, Darcy Tierney, Cooper McGeorge and Preston Brien backing up well.
Thank you to Kyle Forgione, Brad McCarroll, Cooper McGeorge and Will Smith for playing with the Rhinos.
Wellington were too strong for Bathurst Burrs 7-0
Wellington came out firing on all cylinders with Jake Styles running three-quarters the length of the field from the kick off to set Jack Baker up to score the first try. This was to be the first of two tries for Jack.
Brad McCarroll made a break and tried to pass the ball out to Darcy Tierney only to have Bathurst take it from them. Jake Styles made another bust, this time scoring himself.
Darcy Tierney made an outstanding tackle on his opposite number. Jordan Berryman, who ended up with three tries for the game, made the most of a strong Wellington scrum to break the line to score.
Will Smith not to be left out scored a ripper just as the full time hooter sounded. All the boys played well. Thanks to Jake Styles for filling in for us as we were down on numbers.
Wellington defeated Forbes
White 5-1
Again the Wellington boys were switched on from the kick off.
Will Smith and Sam McCarroll backed each other up in defense taking a Forbes player out of play. Sam McCarroll was fantastic tackling all game. He tackled one Forbes player so sweetly he coughed up the ball and Will Smith was there to gather it up.
Jack Baker was the next to lay his hands on the ball with Will Smith backing him up the whole way only to be tackled short. Brad McCarroll finished off the phase to score.
Cooper McGeorge made some excellent tackles. Will Smith, Preston Brien and Harry Broome all pulled their weight, defending well and making good yards.
Jack Baker had a strong game scoring four tries. Well done boys on a great day.

Wellington just got home to Orange City 3-2
Wellington began confidently making solid metres through a series of phases. Zac McManus was the first to put points on the board with a nice run from the back of the ruck.
Orange City regathered quickly to put together some good plays but Graham Peckham upset the run of play when he intercepted the ball from their scrum to score.
Jock Fergusson showed plenty of spirit hitting the ball up just as hard as someone twice his size. Jordan Evison fended well to give us extra metres.
Nice scrum work saw Zac McManus retrieve the ball from the scrum and pass to Jake Styles on the blind side, who simply pushed his only opposing player out of the way to score.
Cowra defeated Wellington 3-0
There must be something in the Cowra water because they breed them big over there. Cowra soundly gave Wellington their first loss of the season with our boys unable to find any answers to Cowra’s towering team.
Sam Hunt cleaned out like a pro, trying his heart out all game. Cowra were quick on their feet and made our boys pay for turning their backs on them, scoring three tries unanswered.
Mack Tierney was absolutely brilliant tackling solidly and Thomas Broome had a couple of strong hit ups.
Although Wellington lost the boys were to be commended on their never say die attitude. Cowra were obviously a very experienced side but our boys showed plenty of ticker to keep the score respectable.
Kirk Cargill was also commendable for his helping out of his team mate who needed a hand.
Wellington drew with Bathurst Burrs 1-all
The game began with both teams wanting to show dominance after last week’s one-all draw. Kirk Cargill began the game with a boost of confidence when he stripped the ball and made good metres up the sideline.
Lochie Styles was a work horse in defence as was Jordan Evison. Harry May has come ahead in leaps and bounds in his first year of union to make some exciting breaks.
Tom Barwick also showed loads of improvement after his confidence-boosting first try last week.
Wellington battled hard with special mention to Jack Thompson who held his position well providing no space out wide for Bathurst to score.
Charlie Ifflands’ tackling was outstanding. Wellington’s constant attack was finally rewarded with Nash Forgione hitting up hard for Jordan Evison to plow through a hole, passing a beauty to Jack Thompson who finished off the play with a try.
Bathurst didn’t let this phase them, hitting back with the leveler with a rolling maul.
Training will be held on Wednesday at 5pm and Saturday at 9am. Training will also be held on the last Saturday of the school holidays.
