Wellington Warriors 10s: The Warriors were defeated 2-1 against SDW Pumas with an early 9am start in Dubbo for the Wellington team. They started with only 10 players, then 10 minutes into the game ended up with 12 players. The team played well with Aiden Bestwick and Sam Campbell working tirelessly. Jordon Berryman excelled in goal, putting his body on the line on numerous occasions on a very cold winter morning.

With the score two-nil at half-time the Warriors fought back in an outstanding second half, with Simon Slacksmith kicking a beautiful left foot corner that saw Bradley Reardon find the back of the net. Well done Warriors as not too many under 10 teams can claim to score from corners. The second half saw a number of shots on goal but unfortunately our Warriors were unlucky not to find it.

The Warriors were defeated against the undefeated, well-drilled Westside team 6-1. Bradley Reardon, Bradon Madden and Emily Campbell were exceptional in the midfield, while Tom Swainston worked hard as usual. The team started tiring after playing two other games that day but never gave up, with Rhianna Sutherland breaking the line to score our only goal showing her strength and determination as always. Nicholas Trappett and Mathew Purcell both worked well in goals with Tom Swainston having to go in there for an injured Matt, who badly sprained his two fingers in an attempt to save a goal. Get well soon Mathew.

Wellington Warriors 11s

Wellington turned up to find only seven players for the Orana Spurs, so in a kind gesture and good sportsmanship Wellington only played seven of their players. The final score was a convincing 15-nil, with most of the team scoring including the goalie Tom Redfern. Some players scored their first goals for the season, including Jordon Evison, with Gary Sarsfield and Rowan Gersbach having near misses, but fun was had by all players.
